School Of Leadership and Development (SOLEAD)

SOLEAD — Equipping God's People for a Lifetime of Fruitfulness

School of Leadership and Development (SOLEAD) is a 9-month Christian life and ministry training and development program primarily for new staff of SCCC. It involves classroom equipping and practical field ministry at a campus or an area of service, which provides on-the-job-training as lessons are applied in a real-life context.

The course aims to build a core foundation into each trainee for a life-long commitment to:

  • Living for Christ
  • Personal Life Change
  • Ministry Effectiveness
  • Transforming Leadership

... in order to equip God's people for a lifetime of fruitfulness. SOLEAD is an opportunity to grow your heart for God, be equipped for ministry and help extend His kingdom.

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name" (John 15:16)

This is for you if you ...

  • Are joining Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ as a full-time staff member or Campus Ministry STINTer (Short-term Internship).
  • Are a working adult or fresh graduate with 9 months availability and desire to be equipped with the necessary competencies in evangelism and discipleship, movement-building and leadership skills.
  • Desire to discover God's call for you as you experience what vocational Christian ministry is like.

Desired Outcomes

Heart
We desire our trainees to be walking with God and growing in character as that is the foundation of our ministry.

Personal Life
We desire our trainees to be maturing personally—emotionally and intellectually and learning to be good stewards of their time, talents and treasure.

Relational Life
We develop trainees to relate well with others, connect with the lost, and are good team players.

Ministry Effectiveness
We desire to see our trainees increasing in ministry effectiveness in evangelism,  discipleship, leadership, or other areas of service.

The 9-month training program starts in September and ends in May yearly.

"One of the most impactful classroom lessons was the Life and Ministry of Paul class. I saw what God can do with a man who is completely broken and surrendered to God till the end of his life—he can change the world! And I want to be that man."
Adam Lee (SOLEAD Class 2010)

"I got to know the Old Testament and New Testament better through the Bible Survey classes.  The Communications Training was excellent..."
Amber Ng (SOLEAD Class 2007)

"I decided to join SOLEAD after my graduation from polytechnic, as I wanted to make good use of the one-year break that I had before the next university entry and be a good steward of time, by serving God and equipping myself for ministry effectiveness. The training so far has proven to be very useful and enriching. I had the opportunity to apply the skills that I learnt in the classroom on the actual field ministry, which really enhances the whole learning process and helps me to see the areas I need to improve."
Kuah Ling Ling (SOLEAD Class 2007)

"I joined the Campus Ministry STINT (and hence SOLEAD) as I wanted to lay a strong foundation for my spiritual growth and to learn practical ministry skills before I entered the marketplace. I believe that it was God's will for me to join the STINT as I was initially supposed to start work in December 2009. However, one day I remember I received an email mentioning that due to the financial crisis, my start date would be delayed by 1 year. When that happened, it was an answered prayer from God and I remember even my father said, "This must certainly be God's will, you better go join this program!"
Zhou Siming (SOLEAD Class 2010)
