If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus (Philippians 2: 1-5).

Beyond Melbourne, which was designed to reach a new batch of international students in Monash. The first half of the project was difficult as we saw little breakthrough in the harvest field and we found God was more interested in us then reaching the lost. We turned out to be God's mission field as He began purifying our motivations and attitudes. He was teaching us the 101 on abiding in Christ. - Mark & Susan's News from the Suredhrans, Dec'07.

...he had never thought Christians would be so willing to discuss their faith, because he'd always imagined it would be awkward and private; it surprised him that we could have such a meaningful talk about our beliefs. That makes me wonder how many curious seekers are there who are waiting for a Christian to take the initiative to tell them "I am willing to share my faith with you"? I'm convinced if we really believe that God's giving us 'bigger' undertakings, faith is preparing and planning so that when it happens, we're ready to roll! I'm thankful for the opportunity to disciple 2 faithful girls in SIM who pioneered the movement. "But Jesus said nothing..." I began to ask "why?" I said to myself that more than 80% of these crimes that were said of Him were not true or even none of them were true. So why did Jesus said nothing? I began to realize my own heart attitude. For me to question why Jesus remains silent, was the word "unfair". This is how most of us usually think: to fight for one's justice, for one's rights. - Ray's Update Sept 07

Pastor Nelson, pioneer of The Journey, said that out of about 23 million people in Manhattan, only less than 1 million people know about Jesus. he than asked the question, "What if Christ was to return today? 22 million people will perish in hell eternally". We soon learnt how hard the spiritual ground was in Thailand. A Thai's identity is interwoven tightly to being a Buddhist and rejecting Buddhism or that of following their parents' religion would almost be rejecting their identity altogether. But in the lives of the TCCC staff and Crusade students, we saw immense faith and security in their identity in Christ that not only challenged our faith, but spurred other seekers of the gospel to be encouraged in being brave in their decisions to follow Christ. - Clydia Mak's Fingerprints of My Maker | NST trip letter
