Dear Ministry Partner,
Time flies, and we are already into the second half of 2010! We cannot redeem time that has passed, but we can certainly seize the day by making the most of what is to come. Amidst our busyness, we are usually confronted with the brevity of life when a friend or loved one is terminally ill or when we attend funerals one too many. In Psalm 39:4-6, David prayed:
"LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered—how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath. We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it." (New Living Translation) |

It was very interesting to witness the way God work, it was so unconventional; I learned that when trouble comes, we just need to come together and worship Him and pray, and Daddy will get it done, somehow... miraculously. Never discount the power of God when you worship and prayer, He will shock you,.. -- Manson Koh's Octaves (PDF, 0.7MB)

I was looking up to God, full of thanksgiving for: friends and family for their prayer and financial support, friendship built with the staff, mission trip to Macau and Cambodia, becoming more aware of my own strength and limitation... Please pray for me for I am fearful of transitions! Remembering how I struggled in the past as I went in to Poly and previous job transitions... Pray for courage and faith to go through all these changes. -- Liew Hui Ting's Looking... up & ahead (PDF, 0.8MB)
On my way to the office, reading these words in the book Preaching with Freshness by Bruce Mawhinney filled my eyes and my heart. "Do you remember the most often-repeated command in the Holy Scriptures? 'Fear not.' The words 'fear not' or 'be not afraid' or something to that effect appear more in the Bible than any other command that God gives His children. You have a great God Who loves you more dearly than you love yourself... -- Bixia's PISTOS (PDF, 0.2MB)
